Hi, I’m Sukanya Mukherjee; a filmmaker and designer based out of Los Angeles, CA. My work lives in the overlaps between film and architecture which I have always considered innate extensions of one another, with a focus in speculative design and storytelling.

My films have been shown internationally in galleries and festivals across Venice, Nice, Reykjavik, and beyond. Lavaforming is my second short-film, currently being exhibited in the Reykjavik Art Museum after previously being commissioned for the Icelandic Pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture.

I hold a M. Arch II from SCI-Arc and a B. Design from the University of Florida.
